Singapore

Arguably the libel capital of the world, where democracy or freedom of speech is ranked very low among developed countries, and political persecution or defamation for contempt of court very high for anyone who dares to publish content critical of the government.
The number of Singaporeans and foreign journalists threatened with a lawsuit in recent years has been on the rise, as authorities often use dated colonial or internal security laws as a pretext for maintaining religious or racial harmony to silence and punish political critics.

Virus Hunters

Commonly or blandly known as “contact tracers,” who help identify people (and possibly even pets) who may have been exposed to the coronavirus to prevent onward transmission.
In Singapore, most virus hunters, made up of government officers, military personnel, and ex-hotel and airline staff, used to make between 30 and 100 calls during their 12-hour shift, ploughing through receipts and data to map out links between cases and establish clusters.

Coviffiti

Graffiti that depict the casualties or fatalities brought about by the dishonesty or ineptitude of fake heads of state vis-à-vis the coronavirus, whose actions and inactions have caused so much pain and suffering to millions of people.
All over the United States, coviffiti are popping up to target the ex-president’s fake leadership and failure in containing the pandemic crisis, which had resulted in more than half a million deaths.

Trump is the new Pinocchio.

When Donald J. Trump is now the world’s poster boy for lying or dishonesty, who has notoriously clinched another first as a one-term president, by unofficially dethroning Pinocchio as the Liar-in-Chief.
That “Trump is the new Pinocchio.” is numerically equivalent to “Trump = Pinocchio 2.0.”

Fakeful

The opposite of being fact-based. When someone entertains opinions or views that are not true, and deliberately disseminates them to mislead their unquestioning or uncritical audience to push their own agenda.
Rejected Donald J. Trump was such a fakeful character who led tens of millions of his followers to blindly or uncritically put their faith in him, by lying that he’s robbed of an election victory due to rampant fraudulent ballots in states where he lost to his political opponent.

Aha!

Short for mathematical enlightenment. That breakthrough thinking moment or insight you experience after trying to solve a seemingly unsolvable math problem.
Solving mathematical quickies is an inexpensive way to activating the oft-atrophied right part of the brain, which would increase the chances of experiencing an aha!—when thinking laterally or even paradoxically often acts as a catalyst to finding the solution to an apparently wicked problem.

Lifelong Learning

A flowery term for “learning until you die,” when the government would rather spend tax payers’ money upgrading its citizens’ intellectual health than paying for their poor mental or physical health.
Lifelong learning is the buzzword these days, because training institutes and universities, which are all hungry to get a decent share in the continuing education market, can reap an obscene amount of money with their sexy marketing.
