rhythm method

A form of natural family planning involving abstaining from sex for a number of days each month, long promoted as the only acceptable form of contraception by the Catholic Church. Common side effects include pregnancy.

Withdrawal is actually a more effective form of birth control than the so-called "rhythm method".

The remaining part of a colon (large intestine) after part is removed (usually because of cancers, tumors and cysts).

Well, Grandpa has a semicolon now, so he has to use a colostomy bag.

A corrupted spelling of Jesus, especially when used as a swear word.

judicial activism

A charge made by conservative activists against liberal judges, accusing them of using their office to make laws instead of resolve disputes over laws.

The term 'judicial activist' is almost applied to liberal judges. Conservative judicial activists, on the other hand, are called 'strict constructionists'.

A guitar, usually electric, with an additional low B string below the low E, mostly associated with new rock and new metal (KoRn, Linkin Park, Staind etc.)

Chief Wiggum

1) Real name: Clancy Wiggum. Springfield's police chief, see Simpsons. Known for his morbid obesity and bumbling police work. 2) An incompetent police officer, often consigned to mall security.

Oh Jesus, they got some Chief Wiggum of a former sherrif's deputy handling the graveyard shift at Central.
