Everyday. they leave. sometimes without saying goodbye, sometimes with letters. Some of whom you love, some you don't care about. Leaving black gaps in their communities. If you listen closely you will be reminded of your own life and how it is naturally unpredictable. short. an empty space to be filled by none other than you. a celebration if you let it. a tragedy if you allow it. reminded of its passing magic. and of all its banality. of our limited powers to leave something of value and to maintain contact to other humans in our vicinity. lasting or fleeting. loving maybe, carelessly cold, or fearful.
I tell myself that death awaits me in the future. so i am reminded to grab the moment by its balls and squeeze its juices all over my little meaningless face. To be honest, i should do it more often.
