Any person clever enough to take a stand against inconsistent religious theories and practices and instead live their life independently from alleged divine authority figures and lifestyles which enforce unjustified regulations upon their existence. Atheists generally believe that there is no god- although reasons for this choice of opinion differ, many revolve around logical thinking and lack of scientific proof, which concludes that no such being exists. Just because someone is an atheist does not mean that they do not want to believe in god... it just means that there is no realistic evidence to support any claims of god's existence- and therefore no reason to believe in god itself.
An atheist is a person of logic and sense, independent of religion and it's customs.

The nice guy is the tragic hero in relationships:
He's the one that will stand by a woman all his life, despite the fact the woman will never care for him the way he does for her. She will bitch to him about her failing conquests, use him as a makeshift therapist and shun his efforts to initiate a relationship. Whilst she continues to live in sin the guy will beat himself up over why he has not been able to maintain a relationship, continually asking why his efforts are in vain and why women no longer appreciate gentlemen. When the woman is finally ready to settle down she will crawl back to the nice guy, knowing that he will accept her despite everything because he would do anything for her. Eventually the nice guy realises that his love life has been a hollow victory, and that he would have been better off as the shallow, arrogant jerks the woman pursued in the first place. Sucks doesn't it...

Gentlemen have become a dying breed, because women are not prepared to save them.
Girl 1: All I'm looking for is a nice guy who actually cares about me...
Girl 2: Sure, whatever you say there...

Most likely happens in places of social interaction: a term to describe that moment when you and another person of interest have aquired such affection for each other in the shortest amount of time thought possible, that you simply engage in any adrenaline fueled sexual contact regardless of the reactions and responses of those around you...
"I went to a club last night and had a major love rush- this girl who was practically my female equal had one too, and just couldn't keep her hands of me. Soon enough we were copulating in the club toilets :P" Joking lol... that was an example :P

From what it means and symbolises in our culture today, 'modern' music is nothing more than commercialised crap worshipped by those that cant comprehend the effort put into REAL music. Modern music is often the work of fat greedy managers churning out the sassy stylised crap in the hopes of increasing their bank balance. On the other hand, you could see it as a global conspiracy wherein the government is acting through the music industry to prevent bands who could deliver important social messages and revolutionary ideas from ever being successful and putting the control of the masses via the government in jeopardy. Your choice. Modern music described in the form above usually appeared after late 2006, and the only bands that dont fall into this category include bands who either started off before the 21st century and have remained successful to this day, or a few notable exceptions such as MGMT, Beach House, and a few other decent bands I have yet to discover. Unfortunately, the current music scene will continue to churn out this garbage and drown out decent bands who could bring forth a new musical revolution etcetera... so unfortunately for now, its here to stay :'(
Dont you just wish music today was made by bombed out rock stars high on drugs with tons of groupies instead of shitty corporate whores and managers who are only in it for the financial gain... pity the underdog, for modern music represents the latter :/

College devoted to the arts- and the general study of subjects such as fine art, graphic design, illustration, textiles, 3d/games design, philosophy, music etcetera. Art college is a surreal haven for artistically diverse folk, recreational drug users and enthusiasts, spontaneous philosophical discussion during lectures, and those wishing to escape the task of repeating what is esentially another two years of high school condensed into a standard college semester. Art college is unique- nothing more, nothing less. There is nothing more commonplace at an art college than to be unique or different, and there is a decreased tendency to discriminate against diverse or eccentric students, as most possess a creative streak of artistically inclined traits or attributes. Those who don't, will sure enough have some by the time they leave. Because of their nature art colleges have a high leniancy and acceptance towards creativity, artistic pursuits, and not to forget- the drugs. A good majority, if not a vast majority of all art students have tried a recreational substance (me included :), mainly those of the hallucinogen/psychedelic category. Although this is not always the case, drug use or enthusiasm is fairly commonplace at art college, if not a potential rite of passage. Saying this however- not everyone have taken substances. There are those who do, have done, aspire to, or simply haven't. The bottom line is, expect someone you meet there to have done something (lord knows I have :P).
Those who enter art college usually leave with an increased passion for artistic pursuits or careers, awareness of the finer things in life, and generally value the time they studied there. The best darn college there is- no contest :)
If you ever need an excuse to- consume copius amounts of recreational drugs :), pursue a more interesting and artistic career direction, or simply meet loads of great people who won't chastise you for being different... then go to art college- you wont regret it ;)

Nice term to describe anyone designated or willing to stay sober at events involving alcoholic consumption. Basically, a nice way of saying, "don't worry my friend, I'm staying sober- so you don't have to! Which means I'll be there at the end of the evening to question that 'date' you picked up, drive you home, and provide adequate support for you're drunken heap of a body... well go on then, get drinking!"
Joseph: Hey, you having a drink?
Joe: Nope, I'm staying sober- so you dont have to!
Joseph: okay- You just volunteered to pay... bitch!

The most iconic, profound, inventive, masterful and downright best guitar player in the history of music. No one came close to playing guitar like he did. It was never about how fast or how well he played (even though he played exceedingly well). It was about the special connection he made through his guitar and his listeners/audience. In effect, the guitar was to Jimi what Excalibur would have been to King Arthur - A profound expression of the power within one individual. Hendrix did many things that made his music so meaningful. Amongst these he helped to popularize guitar feedback... a technique which was previously undesirable at the time, not to mention playing it with his teeth, executing mind- bending solo's, and even evoking a personality within the instrument itself: for example during his rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, where his guitar echoed the harsh nature of the Vietnam War through sound alone. He created a style of music which even to this day has remained unparalleled, and gave us one of the most awe- inspiring forms of music ever. Some of his most famous songs include Purple Haze, Voodoo Child, and his rendition of All Along the Watchtower. There will never be anyone like him again... and even if you did reach his playing standard, you still wouldn't obtain the expressionism, mind or soul he channelled into every performance. Long live Hendrix... we really could do with another time like yours in this day and age :/
Go watch Jimi Hendrix's version of the Star Spangled Banner on Youtube... and if those last few notes don't send shivers down your spine, then you might as well have no soul...
