in bed with

When a company collaborates with another company to make a product that has never existed before
Remember when Lumine Studio was in bed with Marvel to make the Indonesian movie similar to 'Ant-Man: Quantumania' titled 'Legend of Gatotkaca', launced on Friday, February 10th 2023?

housing advertisings

Unlike the advertisings for many other products, housing advertisings are infamous for a) announcing impending price increase the next Monday, b) mentioning distance by travelling time (not akcual distance)
Imagine when Adrian mentions distance by travelling time like housing advertisings like in the sentence, 'I don't move out yet because I live at a multigenerational house located only 10 minutes drive from college.'

autopilot adaptive decision control

Being a backronym of AADC (the title of an Indonesian movie), "autopilot apocalypse decision control" is the condition where someone experiences monotonous daily routine, e.g. high school students who go to school for 8 hours every Monday to Friday.
Imagine autopilot adaptive decision controls you all the time, making you have to go to school for 8 hours from Monday to Friday.
A word that lumps together "the stem of a tree" and "the luggage space of a car" within one same word
Imagine if I can put my luggages inside the trunk of the tree, like I would onto the trunk of my car.

life history theory

This theory refers to the idea exposure to an unpredictable, impoverished environment as a kid leads to faster development whereas children who grow up in a stable environment with more resources tend to have a slower developmental course.
According to the life history theory, families with more means often have more anticipation of years of schooling and career before one necessarily has to “grow up”—there’s plenty of time for that later.
In her book 'The Price of Motherhood', author Ann Crittenden coined the term "mommy tax" to describe the economic toll motherhood takes on a woman's earning potential over the course of a lifetime. Even if a woman goes right back to work after having children, statistically she'll earn significantly less than her childless counterparts.
This 'mommy tax' has proven that having a child in your 20s may not be financially optimal. "My younger clients in their 20s and early 30s have a lot of debt," says financial adviser Elise Stevenson, president of Clearvue Advisors in Milton, Massachusetts. "College loan debt is such a problem for young people today – it's a noose around their necks. And as they struggle to pay it off, it's very easy to slide into credit card debt."

When used as a slang term, "lifetime" may not necessarily mean your entire lifetime. But still, the slang term "lifetime" means a significant portion of your entire lifespan — usually no less than one-fourth of your entire lifespan.
Even though I'm already 21 years old now, my mom still limit my screen time as per Tuesday, April 2nd 2024 — as I still live with my mom whilst in college. Imagine having a lifetime of screen time limits imposed by Mom, as the life expectation of people born 2003 like me is 'only' 72 years!
