Lace Doily

A woven mat that your aunt or grandmother would have on a side table underneath a plant or lamp. It served no purpose but there for decoration.
Or a female work colleague who is nice looking but hopeless at the job.
Visually attractive but pointless.

"I say, that young Samantha in admin is a fine looking filly!"
"Oh, that's Lace Doily. Don't ask her for stationery, she'll probably come back half an hour later with a gnu".

A word used to describe the sound of collision, similar to "KA-BLAM" and "THWOCK" as used in Batman fight sequences.

I couldn't slow down in my car and.....BOSH! I hit the car in front.

Magazine available in the UK which encourages the activities of "riceboys" and shows pictures of cheap, small engined hatchback cars with tacky and tasteless modifications.

"yeah, mate. I spray painted the bumpers yesterday and put a max power sticker on it, now my car goes 10mph faster, honest"
