Omega event

An event that requires an exception to the rules. Thought to always be possible, no matter how encompassing the rules are. Coined by @Yishan (Twitter) who credited Erik Martin, one of Reddit's first community managers, with the concept.

antidisempowerment

Not allowing people to disempower themselves.
People have power. But they give it away. That's disempowerment. We need to stop that. That's antidisempowerment.

alternafact

An opinion treated by its holder as if it were a fact; also, usually relevant facts are available and are more broadly accepted due to the preponderance of evidence supporting them. The opinion is therefore an "alternative" fact. Coined by Jim McCarthy in 2020.
That we can safely stay open standing shoulder to shoulder in the slaughterhouse 10 hours/day, Mr. Tyson, may be an alternafact.

During the 2020 COVID-19 crisis, all conferences became oconferences.
I'll be spending all of my time participating in oworkshops at home this week since I can't drive in to work.
