FC Rapid Bucureşti was one of the oldest football clubs in Bucharest, renowned for its anticommunist past and for their fans.

Rapid doesn't have an important trophy shelf. The explanation is simple: the club was not appreciated by the communist regime, who preferred to fund Steaua and Dinamo, both communist teams, founded by the communists. Also, their fans were known dissidents and were one of the very few who had the guts to go publicly against the commies. Poli Timişoara fans, their besties, had a similar past.

After the fall of communism, Rapid had a similar fate. The club reached its peak in the 2005-06 season, when they reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup, being eliminated by their fiercest rivals, Steaua. They won their last major trophy in 2007.

In 2013, George Copos, their owner, decided to sell the club. In 2013-14 season, because of the financial crisis that lead to insolvency, Rapid was relegated to Liga II. They were the runners up of the 2013-14 season, playing their last season ever in Liga I, 2014-2015. Before going bankrupt in 2016, Rapid had a last successful season, winning the 2015-16 Liga II, after being relegated again for financial problems in 2015.

In 2017, two football clubs were founded: one by the Sector 1 mayor, and one by the T2 ultras. Peluza Nord ultras will follow mayor's team. The first one will play in Liga IV, the second one in Liga V.

Steaua is the most titled football team in Romania.

In 2014, Steaua disappeared, following a court decision in favour of CSA. The name, badge, colors and stadium now belong to CSA Steaua Bucureşti, who will play its first season in the 4th league of Romania (2017-18).

Meanwhile, the old team, owned by Gigi Becali, is now called FCSB, and they changed their badge, keeping the same colors and using the largest stadium in Romania, Naţional Arena, after spending some time playing away from Bucharest, in Piteşti.

As of 2016, 49% of Romanians are Steaua fans. Therefore, they are renowned for having many, but stupid fans. Gigi Becali mentioned once that 90% of the gipsies are Steaua fans. Furthermore, 55% of people living in the countryside consider theirselves Steaua fans. Steaua fans are considered "result fans" by their rivals, because of the fact that their stadium is empty when they don't play important matches. There was a famous scene when "pufuleţi" were put on seats in order to attract people to the stadium.

Their ultras are considered inferior to Dinamo and Rapid, their main rivals. They have made some major mistakes, as lifting a Dinamo's message in their kop at a home match against Dinamo, and also receiving money from sponsors in order to make a choreography.

"Citizens" continue to be FCSB fans (FCSB owns the history from 2003 until present), while Steaua ultras (excepting a couple of Peluza Nord groups) are CSA fans (which owns the history from 1947 to 2003).

Romanian word, translated as "kike". "Jidov" might be used as well, mentioned in literature.

Romanian word for "gipsy". The only correct way of calling a gipsy in Romanian. We never say "rom" or "rrom", because the stupid Westerns confuse Romanians with gippos.

igan" is NOT a derogatory term for "gipsy". We have "cioară" (nigger) for that.

I've noticed that the definition is inaccurate on this one.

"Sugi pula!" (similar to Serbian "Puši kurac!") means "you suck the dick" in Romanian.

"Îmi sugi pula!" (similar to Serbian "Puši mi kurac!") means "you suck my dick" (also seen as "Să-mi sugi pula!", which would be translated properly as "Suck my dick!")
-Bozgor: "Ardealul e al nostru" (Hungayrian: "Transylvania is ours")
-Român: "Sugi pula, bozgore!" (Romanian: "You suck the dick, hungayrian!")

"Îmi sugi pula, tu şi Dan Voiculescu" (You suck my dick, you and Dan Voiculescu)

"Hai noroc! Să-mi sugi pula!" (Cheers! Suck my dick!)

Prank made by FC Dinamo Bucharest fans at the expense of their rivals, FCSB (the former club known as Steaua).

When FCSB played an UCL play-off against Manchester City on 16th of August, 2016, Dinamo fans dressed Steaua fans as to complete a choreography that said, in white and red colors (Dinamo's colors): "Doar Dinamo Bucureşti" (Only Dinamo Bucharest).

Probably the only prank at this level ever known in the ultras phenomenon. FCSB suffered furthermore humiliation, as they went on to lose that match with 5-0.
