zymotoxinogen

This is a substance released by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. A zymotoxinogen is an enzyme (zymo) toxin that must be cleaved to generate (gen) the active enzyme.

Botulin toxins act as proteolytic enzymes, blocking the release of acetylcholine.
