wordematician 

One who is extremely adept at vocabulary, grammar, and the use of literary devices such as alliteration, onomatopoeia, and puns. They are ridiculously good at crossword puzzles and won't let their friends make grammatical mistakes without correcting them. Like mathematicians, but arguably dorkier. They are scientists of communication, researchers of discourse, and developers of wordology. Synonyms: Language Pimp, Grammasshole
