Uncle Rick

The man and uncle we all love the most. He’s kind, teasing and a troll. He likes to mess with us but we love him anyway.

Not to mention he wrote the Percy Jackson series and got us obsessed with mythology even though we weren’t looking to!
“Did you see Uncle Rick’s new tweet?”
“Oh my gods yes! I love him so much!”

Uncle Rick

Uncle Rick is that guy who made us cry and laugh, and ultimately want to punch him in the face for his trolls, but would never do so because he somehow managed to squeeze his way onto that pedestal for our favorite author. Basically, he’s the best and the worst and you will never be the same again after reading his books. Specifically Percy Jackson.
Random: ha! You’re crying while reading!? Ugh, geek.
Literally anyone in the fandom: *hands Random Percy Jackson books*
Literally anyone in the fandom: *sees them crying while reading one week later* not so geeky now, huh?
Random: *literally sobbing* wha— how COULD— why— WHY!?!? *whispering* whyyyyyyyyyy
Literally anyone in the fandom: Uncle Rick is why

Uncle Rick

A cocaine fueled whiskey drenched maniac known well by his peers as "that guy with a huge dick"
"Why does Uncle Rick keep smelling the table?"

West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
Some grebo passed with Sabbath playing on his stereo.
The Poppies are at no. 17? God, a grebo band in the charts!
They're playing nu-metal now, bloody grebos!
