sandigging

A term for when someone searches for something in a situation that seems endless and is likely to lead to nothing, like digging in sand where you probably won’t find anything useful. It shows the pointlessness of looking for answers or goals that probably won’t be helpful.

Trying to find a solution to that problem without clear information is just sandigging, it’s unlikely I’ll ever figure it out.
