SOGI

SOGI is an acronym for Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity. It is a proposed replacement for different acronyms such as LGBTQIA+ because there are too many darn letters and those in the PLUS are still being marginalized. SOGI is also a word that can be pronounced and more easily used in sentences and coversation.

Many SOGI people feel like they are like Pluto in our solar system - LGBTQIA+ doesn't include their letter, so they aren't actually a planet being given any real consideration.
