A moderator or
administrator of a web forum that silently censors the content on the site to steer conversations or change text users submit with the intent of steering the
conversation. Slashmods often refuse to admit they are doing so when confronted.
This action is considered detrimental to the forum purpose and a form of
first amendment censorship. This breaks the trust between forum moderators and their users.
Therefore, forum users sometimes revolt, mutiny, or leave alltogether. Forum slashmodders are often asked to tender resignation if their offenses are serious enough or strongly disagreeable.
