rickandmortyism

A form of elitist behaviour manifesting itself in a toxic fandom toward popcultural media such as tv shows, movies games and so. Appears especially when the medium is considered "clever", "cultic" or "niche". One that exerts this type of behaviour usually perceives other fans as inferior and lacking the capability to fully grasp the complexity of the medium they worship.

However in most of the cases this type of behaviour is not a sign of higher intelligence or better understanding of the subject, but rather of a self-delusion not different from the dunning-kruger effect.
It is really annoying how Nick talks about that tv show. Its just a show!

I know, I know. Typical case of rickandmortyism
