Get the R/Nmug. An abbreviation used by the US Army meaning Rest and Recreation, Rest and Recuperation or Rest and Relaxation. Frequently referred to by troops as I ‘n I (Intoxication and Intercourse), it refers to the practice of rotating combat troops out of the front line to give them an opportunity to relax and unwind thereby reducing the impact of ptsd. The term was certainly used during the Korean and Vietnam Wars but most likely dates from World War II.
