Quasirelationship

When two individuals agree to be in a relationship, but there are not any mutual romantic feelings or romantic bonds. Essentially, it is just a status.

There may be infatuation involved prior to the quasirelationship, but once a couple decides to make it official, there may be feelings of awkwardness and regret subsequently leading to a breakup.

Quasirelationships are often very brief, lasting only a week or a few weeks and maybe sometimes longer. They are prevalent among the inexperienced, young, and the immature.
Sarah agreed to be Benny's girlfriend, but once they made it official, they didn't have the feelings they expected, thus, they were in a quasirelationship.
