Pushing Off 

Beginning the act of substance abuse. That first sip or that first hit signals the push off from the hypothetical shore we call reality. The more fucked up you get the further out you are drifting. One doesn't know how far the current will take them out this evening or if they will even return.
"What are you doing on this fine Thursday night friend?"

Breadhead 

Someone who is addicted to obtaining money and building wealth. A money addict and fanatic. Breadheads often work more than one full-time job, and some even participate in illicit activities to "obtain the bread".
A breadhead is like a crackhead, but for money instead of crack.
