A non-apology; saying sorry without apologising, even when it's clearly one's own gaffe.
A Pritipology is an insincere apology, characterised by the use of the word 'sorry', followed by other words that make clear that sorrow is 100% insincere.

Memorably deployed by UK Home Secretary Priti Patel in attempted defence of the UK government's woeful failure to source adequate supplies of basic personal protective equipment for frontline health-service staff during the 2020 coronavirus pandemic: "I'm sorry if people feel there have been failings..."
