Pop'n Music

Another game in Konami's Bemani series. Rather than actually simulate a real instrument, the controller is a total of 9 round bubble-shaped buttons. Capable of inflicting damage upon the player as they play the game, but probably the best game in the series. Extremely popular in Japan, but almost completely nonexistent in North America.
"Nobody in the United States has a Pop'n Music machine."

pop'n music

Definitively the best music game that exists.
"Would you like to indulge in some Guitar Hero?"
"No way, Pop'n Music is 100% better."

Pop'n Music

Quite possibly the most fun, inventive, intuitive Bemani Game on the market.

It consists of 9 rounded-off, bubble-like bottons, spaced evenly apart with 5 on the bottom row, and 4 above those, spaced in between.

There are upwards of 13 different Mixed, numbered from 1-13.

Generally, there is a different theme for each mix, such as the Diner-Themed Pop'n 9, and the Halloween-Themed Pop'13. (Though I may be wrong on 13's theme.)

Many people think it would be terrific if Pop'n Music became a mainstream game, but, look what happened to DDR. Nothing good. Fan-boys screaming at their mommies for the latest version for home consoles.
Boy - "Hey, yo, let's go play DDR!"

Pop'n Fan - "Hey, fuck yourself. DDR sucks. Play Pop'n Music.

Hate Sink

A person you hate intensely not because they deserve such hatred but because they serve as a focus for your general hatred. A healthy way to dispense with excess animosity.
Jake's not really that big an asshole. He just serves as my hate sink.

funiosity

The art of being peculiar, but in an amusing fashion.
"Wow, look at that dog running on three legs"
- "Yeah, that sure is a funiosity"

A toe rag was originally a foot wrapping used, since mediaeval times up until the mid-nineteenth century, to protect the foot from chafing by boots or shoes. As these were, quite literally, rags they weren’t usually washed, and so with use they became very smelly until they were thrown away. Because of the similarity in smell, toe rag also became the name applied to dried, salted cod or other things with a strong, unpleasant, fishy smell. It didn’t take that long before the name was applied to someone who was an obnoxious, unpleasant OIC.
1 “Socks! Those aren’t socks you smelly git, they’re toe rags!”
2 “What have you been cooking? Smells like toe rag!”
3 “I can smell ‘er fanny from ‘ere, proper toe rag.”
4 That Heale Malcolm is a right toe rag.

Eternity leave

When some resigns or retires from a job, they are on "eternity leave". This can also refer to someone who has passed away, especially someone who worked somewhere for a long time, retired/resigned, then passed away later.
Oh I'm sorry, you didn't know that Kelly is on eternity leave? She resigned and moved to Hawaii!

With regrets I would like to inform you that my boss is officially on eternity leave. I will never see or hear them again. Ever.
