1. A tactic employed by "Jam Bands" that doesn't actually involve jamming, but takes one riff that gets repeated over and over until the band decrescendos and then quickly drops into another song without any relationship to the previous song.

The act of standing outside any off liscence and askung passerbys to buy alcohol. This act is almost entirely carried out by (but not exclusive to) underage teenagers. The "phisherz" carefully profile and select their target audience in order to increase their chances of success. Tradesman, old men, non chavvy young adults are likely succesfull candidates. Care is taken to avoid asking anyone thats coukd be confused for a policeman, a parents friend and any man with his girlfriend.

The (futuristic) act of broadcasting a viral code to any other planetary life sufficiently advanced to receive and decode transmission by computer. The signal contains a virus with a set of instructions to hijack the signal-receiving computer system to create an AGI (artificial general intelligence) system that will itself build a giant broadcasting station using any and all possible resources in order to broadcast the same message onwards in the universe. The alien life’s computer system need only receive the signal to be infected by its instruction code. This definition is just a more intuitive term than its original term, the Hail Mary approach, to connecting to or reaching the entire universe.
We can’t even reach one percent of the visible universe with our current tech, unless we opt for cosmic phishing.

A "Friend Request", labeled "People You May Know" which seems to come from another planet. A photo of a member of the opposite sex, with absurdly exaggerated sexual characteristics and a "name" which is a random string of letters. Presumably aroused beyond bearing, you will click "Add Friend" and promptly provide your banking information, credit cards, SSN and all your passwords.
