Peter Lim
Peter Lim is a Black-Korean Spider-Man from Richmond, Virginia, born to parents of both Korean and African American heritage, with Indigenous American ancestry woven through both family lines. Raised between cultures before moving to New York City, Peter dedicates his life to art, hip hop, science, martial arts, music, and service. Trained in Wing Chun through the Ip Man lineage and later by Shifu Shi Yan Ming, he believes all knowledge exists to uplift humanity.
While on a pilgrimage across South Korea with his maternal grandmother, Halmeoni Cho, a descendant of the Changnyeong Jo clan, Peter honors his ancestors before the grave of Jo Gyeryong. There, he is bitten by an ancient multidimensional spider once bound to a Dragon King and later blessed by the Cosmic Buddha, becoming his universe’s Spider-Man. The bite grants him extraordinary strength, agility, predictive perception, spider-sense, and an evolving cosmic awareness that grows alongside his wisdom and compassion.
Peter later founds LIM FU TRU WUSHU and the Himalayan Web-Flow Institute atop Mount Everest , a sanctuary where martial arts, science, philosophy, hip hop, music, art, and humanitarian service unite. Wielding dragon-infused webbing and the Dragon Thread Coin Sword, Peter protects the Spider-Verse while inspiring allies and redeeming enemies. He embodies one truth above all: every life is part of the same web, and with great power comes the responsibility to strengthen every thread.
