party freshman

n. A college freshman clearly only attending to please his/her parents or to avoid getting a job. You will see him/her at every party, but rarely in class, and s/he will probably drop out at the end of the year after epic failing every class.

Mary: Hey, what's up with that kid that only comes to class once a week and is always hung over?
Jane: Oh, he's a party freshman. We can look for him next year at the junior college down the road.
