Otophonia

A medical condition characterized by exceptionally good hearing ability while they always mishear things.
Oto- ear, phonia - hearing.
Hearing only through ears, and not with brain.

Bob : okay, we'll go on Thursday then...
Alice: yeah, I'm also thirsty let's go somewhere.
Charlie: nobody mentioned thirsty, you go get your ears checked.
