A slur from the 1300's used to degrade people of mixed race or individuals with dark hair and medium skin tone.
Dobby: Look at that person over there!
Isabella: Yeah, that's my mixed-race friend!
Dobby: What! Xer such a nominga.

Nominga is generally used as a slur for people of mixed race, and/or with medium toned skin and dark hair. It came from the dinosaur, the Nomingia, as some people would compare mixed people to the dinosaurs colorful visage, and mixed-specie features. As of 2024, there has been a small rise of people trying to reclaim the slur, and adopt it as their own. The pronunciation of the word has also slightly changed over time, as it lost the second ‘i’, and the stress on the vowels are slightly different.
Nominga is now a more uplifting, rather than harmful word, by todays standards.
