mushi-tori

The hobby of catching insects and other arthropods, typically with a net. Popular target species include beetles, butterflies, dragonflies, cicadas, etc. Derived from Japanese 虫取り (mushi-tori, "bug-catching"), as the practice is particularly popular in Japan and other parts of Asia. In Japanese, it is also called 昆虫採集 (konchū saishū, "insect collection").
