A person who seeks happiness and contentment within. Metrospirituals enjoy urban living but are not attached to material or outward things. Metrospirituals seek to make the world a better place. They wear relaxed clothing, are not concerned with outward appearances. They practice yoga and meditation. Metrospirituals may be vegitarians, prefer organic food, have healthy lifestyle practices and realize the innerconnectivity of all beings and make environmentally friendly choices. Metrospirituals are not affraid to say they are seeking God or a connection to a higher source.

A worldview combining watered-down adherence to Eastern and/or new-age spirituality and full-on consumerism. Anyone who thinks buying an electric car is a forward-thinking solution to life's problems is a metrospiritualist.

Another ridiculous, made-up, bullshit media label, which basically states that consumers believe the more they spend, the greater their contribution to the Earth -- and to their sense of inner peace.

Shopping as religion.

Consumer practice as a mainstreaming of Eastern religious values into an easily digestible, buyable form, rather like shopping your way to salvation.
