Da standard behavior/actions of a d**khead supervisor who incessantly bombards his harassled staff with elevtronic or printed-paper notices, reminders, etc.

I prefer to verbally inform my employees of business-related matters, but our senior vice-president has a totally different mem.o. --- he frequently interrupts us all throughout the workday with stupid petty-a** messages that he could just as easily tell us "all in one sitting" during our daily boardroom-luncheon.

verb. To hear the order or rule. Almost always used sarcastically, and not in an environment where memoranda are usually written.

Apparently Bob didn't get the memo that you shouldn't do keg stands at a wedding.

Ice Memo 

When you "ice someone out" (i.e., dump them, fire them, or otherwise get rid of them from your life) via a coldly detached, corporate-style, bureaucratic message, resembling a business memo.

Sample Ice Memo:
"Dear Sir: I regret to inform you that, after careful consideration, I have decided to go in a different direction. This decision does not reflect any personal misgivings, but rather it is merely in the best interest of all parties involved. Sincerely, X."

Reaction to Receiving Ice Memo:

"I dated that woman for a year, and I cannot believe that she broke up with me via an ice memo."

Memo Discrepancy 

When someone makes statements about their accounts that are complete lies but, because you can’t say that in the notes or to the customer, you have to call it a memo discrepancy.

“This bitch says called the other day and that she’d gotten some rep to wave her fees but she never called in once. Can I say she’s a lying whore in the memos?”
“No, just say it’s a memo discrepancy and then specify what didn’t match up. Otherwise you’ll get your ass in trouble.”
