A term for someone who looks at something with no intention of buying it. Predominantly used for people who go to open houses when they have no intention of buying any real estate.

Like Peggy was doing on that episode of King of the Hill.

Besides referring to a person who looks at things with no intention of buying them, a special meaning is that of a person who holds up traffic by slowing down to look at an accident or fire or some other reality.

Traffic on the 405 has come to a standstill because of the lookie loos.

A person, often found on highly tourist-dense areas, who tries to sell stupid shit such as bracelets or fake purses to people passing by. Named after what they say when trying to get people to look at their merchandise.

US southern slang. Usually preceded or followed by "now."
It means "listen to what I have to say next, because it is something that you were unware of or had previously been ignoring, much to our chagrin."
or can simply mean "look at this."

Somebody with no business being someplace who's there strictly out of curiosity. Like a non-involved (not a witness) person staring at a crime scene or a fire.

"Get that lookie lou out of here, Officer Boarder! We don't need every detail on the evening news!" shouted the sergeant when she saw the guy staring at the body.
