Jersey thing

The old tradition of calling someone muff cabbage or a different unknown word then blaming it on being from jersey.
Eric: what is a flopdoodle?
Kyle: it's a jersey thing...

It's A Jersey Thing

A phrase used to describe something that can only be understood by an inbred New Jersey native.
What's a muff cabbage?

It's a jersey thing, you wouldn't understand.

It's a Jersey thing

It's a Jersey thing.
Really has no meaning.
When you live in Jersey then you say it's a Jersey thing. Also shows in South Park.

Kickinwang: Yo Mondongo why do you have so much gel on your hair.

Mondongo: It's a Jersey thing.

Kickinwang: WTF IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN!!

It's A Jersey Thing

When you, or someone, do something insanely stupid and pointless (usually aggressive behavior) that there's no need for an explanation.

Also, if someone complains about their appearance way too much than is ever needed.
Guy1: Why did the guy make a big deal out of his skin color not being too Orange & start a huge fight with everyone?

Guy2: ... It's A Jersey Thing.

It's a Jersey Thing

I'd tell you, but you'd have to be from Jersey to get it.
Pauly D: "I swear! It's a Jersey Thing!"

Mike: "Yeah, you'd have to be from Jersey!"
A toe rag was originally a foot wrapping used, since mediaeval times up until the mid-nineteenth century, to protect the foot from chafing by boots or shoes. As these were, quite literally, rags they weren’t usually washed, and so with use they became very smelly until they were thrown away. Because of the similarity in smell, toe rag also became the name applied to dried, salted cod or other things with a strong, unpleasant, fishy smell. It didn’t take that long before the name was applied to someone who was an obnoxious, unpleasant OIC.
1 “Socks! Those aren’t socks you smelly git, they’re toe rags!”
2 “What have you been cooking? Smells like toe rag!”
3 “I can smell ‘er fanny from ‘ere, proper toe rag.”
4 That Heale Malcolm is a right toe rag.
