hoodburban 

A predominantly white suburban neighborhood whose inhabitants think they are hoodrats and often speak in African American Vernacular English. Some of them can even genuinely not mean to be racist, yet have clear sketchy unconscious biases.

It took a certain kind of awareness to realize how inappropriate some of the nuances to my hoodburban upbringing was.

(n) An area that's technically a suburb, but still ghetto as hell.

1. "Yo, be careful. That place is in the hoodburbs."
2. Juan can grow weed in his house because the cops don't really patrol these hoodburbs.

3. Started at the bottom, now we in the hoodburbs.

Hoodburbs 

The "Hoodburbs" is a suburban middle class area, that is mostly populated by section 8 resident from the hood. That over time, all were put in the same area.

"Aye B, dem west-side boys shot up the Hoodburbs!"

Hoodburb 

The better looking part of the broken down Innercity aka The Hood. Usually only separated by one or two blocks from the REAL Hood.

#1: Now dat I gots me a job working at the Liquor Sto, Im bout to move out Da Hood.

#2: Say what?! Where U moving to, mayne?

#3: Two blocks over into Da Hoodburbs, My Nigga.

#4: Mayne, U leveling up!
