Old English word for a freak or side show performer, i.e. a person who would bite the heads off of animals as public entertainment. More recently used a highly offensive prison and urban slang word translating into 'pedophile' or 'sexual deviant'. Offending 'goofs' are isolated in prison and outcasts in public for fears of being assualted or killed. This would be in a criminology context however. 'Goof' can be used as a harmless noun or verb if the intention of the underground meaning of the word is unknown i.e 'stop goofing around'. In most inner cities in the United States and Canada the word 'goof' would be interpreted as a serious insult i.e. 'fighting words'.

Term used by Canadians, mostly those associated with Canadian Inmates or Convicts, in reference to Narcs, Rats, people known for crimes against children ( Child Molesters, Child Abusers, Pedophiles). These people are often found in P.C (or Protective Custody) when serving a jail sentence because people in the General Population can not find any way to trust a Narc nor do they condone such behaviors and heinous crimes against nature. To be a 'Goof' is to be THE LOWEST form of 'human' and most are not perceived as such, which is why most often it does not weigh on one's conscience to "get rid of" a goof.
If a person is called a Goof the expected protocol is to react with physical violence. If said person is defeated in said physical dispute, it does not mean they are in fact a 'Goof', because their actions were in self defense and that person loses no respect. If the person does NOT react in a physically violent manner, they lose all respect and their character comes under serious question and they run the risk of being exiled or alienated from all those who once associated with them

The murderous process where someone stretches out another persons ear lobes to the point that they are able to choke the person with them, after this the person uses melon bolers to extract the eyeballs from the eye socket and places two dollops of C4 in their place (with two little electric detonators so it looks like the poor patron has eyes) after wards a tiny little goofy hat is placed on the victim's head. The C4 is then detonated leaving a depiction of something that looks exactly like Goofy from the Disney cartoons
