go hydro

(phrasal verb, of a consumer) to go hydro (on someone, about something): to become aggravated to the point it becomes impossible to de-escalate the situation and directing extreme anger towards a person without the authority to resolve it.

Originating from the interactions of fearless promo staff against angry hydro customers in the field, typically at country fairs in remote communities across Ontario, Canada.
"His flight was so delayed he decided to go hydro on the woman behind the counter."
"I was on break sippin' my cuppa coffee when I realized the customer had gone completely hydro about the new rates."
