The large open space on the forehead of a gaper between the helmet (or hat) and goggles while skiing/riding. Also visible days after in the form of a sunburn or wind burn on the forehead.
Gaper: Man, my forehead got fried skiing this weekend!
Local: You need to pull your helmet down and cover your gaper gap.
British Army slang for a cigarette believed to date from around the time of the Second Boer War 1899 – 1902. A gasper was a high tar cigarette, without any sort of filter tip, such as Woodbine or Capstan. They got the name because smoking caused the troops to gasp for breath when engaged in strenuous exercise.
“I'd just got clipped by a Boer bullet, nuffin' serious, so Jack gimme a gasper while he put a dressing on it.”
An outdated term used popularly in the 1920s-1950s that refers to a man who has sex with many different women or has a lot of one night stands. The phrase "garter snapper" originates in this time period due to the fact that women often wore garters to hold up their tights and therefore someone who often "snaps" these garters takes them off, an act commonly preformed during this time period during sex or an affair.
"Did you hear that Connorly went to bed with both Meg and Sally in the same week!"
"Woah, he's quite the garter snapper."
