What happens to long-running TV dramas (typically Law and Police genre series) when plot lines are exhausted and the main characters or their immediate family members become the story; they commence down the slippery slope, we just know the show will soon disappear up it's own a...hole.

Awe, c'mon - as if the lead role's brother would be a murderer --- this show's headed for exsphinction...
