A form of guilt tripping, where someone tries to shame people for supposedly lacking empathy by falsely conflating their beliefs with the causes of various tragedies, on the basis of anecdotal evidence. Often used to stereotype entire groups of supposedly privileged people as part of a vast evil, inhuman conspiracy to keep the oppressed masses subjugated, especially in identity-politics and neo marxist circles.
