Darling in the Franxx
Darling in the Franxx is my personal favorite anime, but the ending is very depressing and made me very sad. As it is described: "The survivors of a catastrophic war against monsters cluster inside mobile fortress cities and train youngsters to defend humanity by piloting large battle robots called Franxx." The characters in the show are called "parasites" since they were made and developed in a lab. The characters in the show also go by codes/codenames since names are no longer needed in this "timeline" that they are in. A Shackteau is a humble, weather-beaten, structurally questionable shelter located in a spectacular or highly coveted place—Wales, Jackson Hole, Sun Valley, Crested Butte, coastal Maine, the Alps—where the building itself may be worth almost nothing, but the dirt, view, access, and mythology make it absurdly valuable.
