Calceorollum is a neologism referring to a minor household mishap in which a shoe or similar object rolls unexpectedly beneath a person’s foot as they attempt to step over it. The event is typically harmless but often causes momentary imbalance, surprise, or annoyance. The term can also refer to the involuntary motion produced by such an occurrence.
The hallway is a known calceorollum zone during winter months.
