For a long time, the word has been used as slang for 'gun' along with a multitude of other terms such as heater, piece, strap, etc.
In more recent times certain film and TV shows have portrayed the word as slang for a disposable cell phone, however in the real world the word is almost never used in such a context.

The culture and belief system of burners - an umbrella term covering their behavior from spending large sums on parties in the desert or woods to dedicating large amounts of time to practice fire spinning and costume-making.
Once I saw their closet I knew this was a serious case of burnerism - nothing but dayglo tights and leather vests.

A derogatory term for the people who attend the Burning Man event. It mainly refers to the cliquish almost cult-like aspect of the event itself. The event is supposed to be about freedom of expression and acceptance of all. Sadly to many "participants" of the event this means "We accept everybody as long as you are just like us! This is mostly observed on social websites like The Burning Man Corporations own website "e-playa" or on sites like Tribe.net where cliques form tribes with names like "burning man a**holier than thou" to attack anybody outside of their cliques. .
