buddyzoned 

A condescending term to define an acquaintance, a way to seem better than your peer as you first see each other. By calling your friend "buddy" you are In turn making it clear you are the alpha male in that relationship. The beta male has been "Buddyzoned" by his alpha male friend. In the situation both people greet each other with buddy, a standoff will follow to decide who is the alpha and who is the beta. In the situation where an entire friendgroup calls each other buddy, they will be known as "the buddies" who buddyzone whomever should interact with their group of alpha males.
Person 1: "Hey man" Person 2: "Hey buddy".
Person 1 has been "Buddyzoned" by Person 2.
