bring- come prepared to share, physically be there, show up
it- something you want to discuss or share
table- a metaphor for a gathering of people
bring it to the table: a designated meeting for discussing current topics or projects in a company or group of people

you bring nothing to the table 

when you dont bring humour, you dont bring character, you dont bring personality

to the table = to the conversation

usually a joke :)
