A villain from the Harry Potter series. Bellatrix Lestrange nee Black is possibly the only female Death-Eater. The Death-Eater terror group which is lead by Dark wizard, Voldemort is known for their horrific crimes against wizard society and their deep prejudice against wizards and witches that are not pureblood.
Bellatrix Lestrange was of the Black Family and sister to Narcissa Malfoy and Andromeda Tonks. She married Rodulphus Lestrange and this is assumed, soon after school and she has no known offspring unlike her two sisters. She is also the cousin of Sirius and Regulus Black. Sirius, which she murdered in the summer of 1996 in an attack at the Ministry of Magic.
She was said to be very beautiful in her younger years and had the typical personality of the aristocratic Blacks- arrogant, prejudiced, cruel and cunning. It also said she was quite intelligent too and has a very deep devotion to the Death-Eater cause.
She spent 14 years in Azkaban, a horrifying wizard prison for various crimes including the torture of Frank and Alice Longbottom through the use of the Cruciatus curse. She had drove the couple to incurable insanity and has most likely done to this several other targets of hers. She is also rather mentally disturbed herself and is rash and overly confident in her actions and speech.
It is inferred by the book and some fans that Bellatrix may have some sort of relationship with her leader, Lord Voldemort beyond a purely devoted follower one.
Currently Bellatrix Lestrange is on the run/hiding out with Voldemort and is the focus of many vendettas of the Light Side.

Bellatrix Lestrange, also sometimes known by her nickname, Bella, is a well known Death Eater and one of Lord Voldemort's most loyal supporters in the Harry Potter series. Bellatrix was first drawn to Lord Voldemort because they both believe in an ideology that favors pure-bloods over other members of the wizarding community. Her family motto, from her maiden name of Black was "Toujours Pur", which is French for "always pure", which makes it clear that she was taught at a young age that pure bloods were the ideal wizards.
Her and her husband, Rodolphus Lestrange, were both very active in Voldemort's rise to power in the 1970s. Bellatrix alone was also very active in Voldemort's return rise to power after her escape from Azkaban prison in 1996. She boasted to Severus Snape once that, and I quote, "(The Dark Lord) shares everything with me! He calls me his most loyal! His most faithful!" (HBP, pg 29, US ) Bellatrix has always been fanatically devoted to Voldemort, speaking to him as if she longed for him to be her lover. Of course, as we all know, Voldemort doesn't need or want a lover.
Bellatrix is described as having "Mad eyes" and a "fanatical glow", making a hint that others think she is psychotic. But of course, with the pureblood mania and inter-family breeding, it should not come as a surprise that most purebloods are indeed imbalanced, especially after the description of the Gaunt children. She also lost all self control when Harry besmirches Voldemort's name, "Shut your mouth! You dare speak his name with your unworthy lips, you dare besmirch it with your half-blood's tounge, you dare--" ( OOTP, pg 784, US )
Bellatrix is a skilled duelist, defeating Sirius Black, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Nymphadora Tonks, and most notably, her highly publicized defeat and torture of Frank and Alice Longbottom. She was also able to take on several Snatchers and the most feared werewolf, Greyback all at once, and is also apparently skilled at using Muggle weapons such as knives. Finally, she alone was the only one able to deflect Dumbledore's spell at the Ministry Of Magic.
Shes the sexiest Death Eater and one of the best characters in any series ever. There are no questions to be asked.

Did you see the Order of the Phoenix movie? The woman who played Bellatrix Lestrange played her PERFECTLY! She was the definition of a psychotic Death Eater.

The best Harry Potter character. In fact, she is the best character of anything. Any book, movie, story.
Anyway, so lovely Bella is a phsyco killer, who is way cool. She loves to torture innocent and usually defenssless people. She is way too devoted to the fabulous Lord Voldemort, who is the second best character of anything ever. But it is still way cool that she is blindly devoted to him.
It would be hot if Bella and Voldy had sex, but only in a bizzare fanfic, so it's not gonna happen. Bella has her locked up husband Rodolphus to sleep with.
Bellatrix's sister, at least the one she kinda likes, is Narcissa Malfoy, who is Lucius's wife. And Bella killed her cousin Sirius Black. He was cool too, but better him than Bella, who is 1000000000000000000000000000000x cooler. Than anyone.
Bellatrix was sent to Azkaban for life, but got out after 14 years cause Voldy broke her out. So she was sent there because she tortured the Longbottoms into insanity, with the best spell ever, Crucio.
And that is why the Harry Potter movies suck ass. Because in the fourth book, Bellatrix is indroduced as one of the people to torture the Longbottoms, but in the goddamn movies, she is not mentioned AT ALL, and fucking BARTY CROUCH JR GETS ALL OF THE CREDIT, EVEN THOUGH IN THE BOOKS HE IS ALL "oh daddy don't send me away I didn't do iiiiiiiit.!"
To put it briefly (to late though, I guess,) Bellatrix is cooler than all of you. The End.
