Base burn

a politically correct term for an Indian burn where a base in a stunt group for cheer catches her flyer in a cradle and skin on the arm gets twisted like an Indian burn.

My flyer gave me a base burn from our stunt routine.

Base-burn

The first sunburn you get that is so bad but only leads to getting more tan.

"I'm too white, I can't get tan unless I start with a gnarly base burn. You can only get darker after a base-burn."
