It is often added behind a Word to create a “Subtwt“, those can be big general parts of Twitter (e.g. K-poptwt, Mcyttwt) or smaller groups of people (e.g. Softwaretwt, Gappletwt).

A crying Kaomoji, indicating sadness, frustration and/or pain, TwT
(variations are: T^T, TvT, ToT, T-T, and lowercase versions)

Usually means "timeline? what timeline?" This term generally refers to a fanfiction that is out-of-timeline (see OOT) in other words a story where the canon timeline is not followed.
The author could have warned people that the fic was TWT, how could Harry Potter have done the Triward Tournament in Fifth Year?
