Tundra Swan Theory

A slow-motion disaster you see coming from miles away but do nothing about because each tiny increment feels harmless. Unlike a Black Swan (sudden surprise), a Tundra Swan is obvious, predictable, and ignored until the accumulated damage becomes irreversible. Example: watching sea levels rise 3mm/year for decades, then acting only after your basement floods. Named for the visible but unremarkable swan that grazes a landscape to death over years.
