To do or say something rashly before realizing it could be interpreted as racist.

Dashon: Do you want to want to play basketball with us?
Keith: Nah, I could never play as well as one of you guys.
Dashon: "You guys"?
Keith: Sorry, I didn't mean to Trump The Shark on that one, I mean as well as you and your athlete friends.
