Hard-core gamers who take games seriously. They don't quit after two deaths. True gamers not only appreciate the graphics, AI, and other things, but they KNOW HOW TO PLAY. (Unlike some cocky noobs.) True gamers are the people who may\will buy books about the game, talk about it over the phone, and buy the soundtracks. A TG never panicks, they always find ways to come out on top. TGs acknowledge the fact that they can not be the best, but appreciate their skill anyway. They also don't gloat or shove it in peoples faces, they just nod their head when they rack up a kill, beat someone on the racetrack, or score a touchdown. (ETC.) Of course, if its the computer you're playing against, you can give it the finger, because AI aren't human. TGs analyze games without thinking about it, and decide whether it is really a good game or not. Noobs will complain about how unrealistic a game is. Wake up idiots, Video games ARE ALL UNREALSITIC. They aren't real life.
Here are a few games True Gamers most likely play. (Including me.)
1. Halo and Halo 2
- Yes, I understand that the physics and guns are totally unrealistic, but hey fucktards, it's a sci-fi game, it HAS to be unrealistic. Yes, aiming a gun in Halo is very different from MoH, CoD, RSix, or other great shooters, but that doesn't really matter.
2. Star Wars Battlefront
- The best thing to happen to Star Wars since the original Rouge Squadron for N64. Rebels 4 EVER.
3. Crimson Skies
- The best flight game for the time era it is based in.
4. Any game that includes either girls, guns, cars, or aliens is a game TGs probably play.

A True Gamer is someone who likes to play a lot of video games on PC AND Consoles, especially Action-RPG, FPS, TPS, BTA, Survival Horror... he prefers the hardcore games for the challlenge and the fun, with the controller of his choice, but without motion controller.
On PC, a True Gamer always try to play in the best conditions, 60 images per second, the best image quality with settings between high and ultra in 1080P or more, so for his goals he will buy a new graphic card every time necessary to always be on top.
Also, a True Gamer buys every big consoles, the ones which are made by Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo (but not the Wii), he buys them always in the early years of sales, and to play in priority to exclusives titles.
A True Gamer refuse to play casuals games, refuse to move his body for playing, so he refuse to play with motion controller like Kinect, Wiimote or PSMove because theses are made for casuals gamers to play casuals games like Wii Sports.
Outside some cases, a True Gamer never starts a game of nowadays in normal or easy mode, he always take on minimum hard difficulty, or even survivor if available.
At the same price, a True Gamer always prefers games in box, and prefers games that you can play offline, so he's happy to know he can still play in 20 years.
A True Gamer always want the next generation of consoles to be a lot more powerful, not Underpowered.
A True Gamer prefers mature games and male characters, like Kazuma Kiryu in Yakuza series.

A person who play a game and really enjoy it, because after all it's the point of playing games.They could play on consoles,PC,handheld device, smartphone,the genre of the game andthe platform isn't important and should never be.
I beaten Soulsborne games and I like them while my little sister play Angry Birds on her smartphone and really enjoy it.We are both true gamers.
