The word itself is a combination of the word “transcendent” and the word “trendy”. So as you can see the word itself is a contradiction. Transcendy connotes a feeling of lighthearted irony and satire. It proposes that something can be both momentarily popular and everlasting at the same time.

Star Wars is such a transcendy movie.
