The best fucking minivan on the planet. The must-have vehicle with all immigrant families that have 3 or more kids. Better than the Toyota Sienna or any other minivan. Honda fucking Odyssey. Great looks, a bad transmission, and mostly seen at the Asian supermarket. Go to Orange County and you’ll see one on every street corner. Your mom has one, almost all of your aunts have one (except that one aunt with the BMW X5) and most of your friends have one. It’s usually used to transport multiple Asian kids to piano practice and Chinese school. Most odyssey’s have 7 to 8 seats, but you know damn well your mom won’t hesitate to put 10+ people in. And never forget those automatic sliding doors.

an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Team members apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics. They then bring their solutions to competition on the local, state, and World level. Thousands of teams from throughout the U.S. and from about 25 other countries participate in the program.

There are 5 different problems from which to choose: Vehicle, Technical, Classics, Balsa Wood Structure, and Theatrical. The team chooses one of the above and creates an under-8-minute skit/presentation. There are certain aspects that must be met. For instance, within the 8 minute Vehicle skit, a vehicle (defined by the rules and guidlines) must do whatever the rules say. For instance, it may have to carry a person and perform tasks. The teams can spend a maximum of $145 on all of their materials. The long term problem is worth 200 of the 350 points available and the style of the long term problem is worth 50 of the 350.

The other part of the scoring is the Spontaneous problem. This is a problem given to the team on the spot and the team must solve it creatively. There are Hands-On, Verbal Hands-On, and Verbal Problems. The team usually has 1 -2 minutes to think, and 3-5 minutes to answer/present/work. This part accounts for 100 of 350 of the points.
Person 1: What you are doing tomorrow afternoon?
Odyssey of the Mind-er (OMer): Writing a script, building 6 aircraft, making costumes, making backdrops, etc.
Person 1: So...you have an Odyssey meeting tomorrow?
OMer: yes.

The best Sci-Fi show ever made. So of course, it's been canceled. At the moment, there are probably a dozen geeks who want to disagree with me. I'm not saying you're wrong but just watch the show then come back and tell me what you think. If you get the chance write Showtime and ask for it back....they'll probaly just tell you to fuck off and go watch Queer As Folk though.
O5 was written by Manny Coto, a guy who did cool shows like Enterprise, and incredibly stupid shows like Zenon Da Sequel. He somehow managed to churn out this masterpiece on the premium cable network Showtime. O5 was about the survivors of a doomed space shuttle mission when the Earth explodes. A mysterious being ho calls himself "The Seeker" rescues them and sends them back in time 5 years. Now they must live over the last couple years of their lives like nothing happened while trying to find out what destroyed the planet on the side. Has great characters and great dialogue. Only the most intelligent, sophisticated TV viewers can follow the plot, which is steeped in mythology, science fiction, science fact, and philosophy.
