Tamvegas

1) A nickname given to the Australian regional city Tamworth during the summer months (December through to February) when its a bitch of a hot place to live. Much like Las Vegas, its set in the middle of no where, and the night life is the only escape from 40 degree (110 Fahrenheit) heat.

2) The nickname used by all national tv stations for Tamworth during the Country Music Festival.
